Today Thad decided to make a car out of wood and cardboard. We told him that you can't glue wooden wheels onto cardboard and have them spin, but he decided to try anyway. The house, yard, and shop were all full of friends and neighbors coming and going, borrowing things and bringing stuff they found for us... One of them, Ty, stamped leather with Kenyon and helped Donnie with the new speakers for the Solo club. He told Thad he would bring 4 lawnmower tires if he could wait until Wednesday to start his car, but he couldn't. So this is the result. The end of the story is of course that it doesn't work. What does work is sticking the box on top of a skateboard. It's actually steerable. I know, I tried it. If you are ever bored, I highly reccomend it. I did crash at the end of the ride, but all 3 kids pushed me so I was going pretty fast. I also ended up on my head in the neighbors yard, but I'm sure it gave them something to talk about while they sat on their porch. We had a good time, so good in fact that we forgot to make birdhouses. We changed our minds and decided to make a bat house for mom, but need to get some different wood to do that. Don't read this part mom, 'cause it's what you are getting for your birthday, lol.
