How do days like that happen? You can't possibly plan such a thing, and if you did it would never work out as well. These are our favorite kinds of days. It all started with a table. It's a really cool table, but we have too much stuff really, and Dustin and Amber have a new house. See how it works? Dustin came up and brought Jesse to get the table and bring Donnie an amp if I remember right.... Pretty soon it turns into Spu showing up, and then here comes Doug. I break out the charcoal and soon music permeates everything, including (I'm sure) the neighbors houses... Dustin plugs in to the Solo's new sound system and rocked the backyard. Maggie, my next door neighbor said it was the best performance she has heard in her kitchen in a long time. The guys found the kids bb gun and started target practice until THE FEAST began...(3 of them Donnie) WOW. It is so nice to sit in the backyard full of good friends communing. Mom showed up somewhere in the middle of it all to use the computer, visit and check out what I was cooking in only the way your mom can come in float around for a while and leave. I love it. Then Jimmy calls and is told to head to the Solo to check out the installation and jam a little with the boys...(3 again) Everyone went down and Dee was there (yeah!) and we had so much fun. Dustin sang and made her cry. I laughed at her because I am so used to it and it's fun to see people moved so much by music. She said "music makes me heart happy" and that's why I love her so much! After all that fun Doug and Dee came over an hung out and we listened to a bunch of Randy Crouch and Red Dirt Rangers stuff that we have stashed here and we laughed at Ben Hahn and his "Twiple the pay" God Bless Him! Cris C tried to communicate via the Air Force and somehow we missed his signal even though I was hipped onto it and forgot to listen, but he came over and visited so it ended up ok. All of this knowing it was MONDAY fully knowing that TUESDAY brings Randy and Bob with Randy and Liz staying over. Wow. That means recording on Wednesday and my kids will be here for the spectacle that ensues. Will it inspire Kenyon to play the flute Gov Mule Style and go for broke? Maybe we can get Dillon on a drum track somewhere. Anyone that knows Randy knows it is entirely possible. Today he called and asked me to write a new bio for him, a daunting task, and I think he has more faith in my writing that I do, but I honestly doubt he has ever read a word I have written, he has such faith. The picture above is Dustin meeting the newest member of the family, my precious ROBORAPTOR. Jesse quite honestly was a little freaked out by him and didn't like him much. So now another thing besides ironing boards you must not bring out around him. *Doug.* I will never forget the look on Jessica face when Doug was telling a story in some hotel room a few months ago and brought out the dreaded board. Total chaos. This is my life, it is real and good.
