10th Anniversary

This past weekend was Kenyon and Katies 10th anniversay celebration weekend. The girls had quite the list of things to do to celebrate.... I think it will actually take a couple weekends to do them all.... They got a good start though...

Saturday Kenyon colored my hair for me... After she finished there was half a bottle of color left from the second bottle so we colored some of Donnies dreads... He is so funny... it took no convincing and he is so agreeable to things the kids and I want to do to him... It came out really cute and now he wants more... So who knows what will happen next time.... Check out his super cute blow-drying shots!

What a cutie!

They ended up looking like this...

So, now after we got dressed and ready to get back to the girls completeing their list of celebration activities with the girls clown make up on and my hair done... We headed to Wal mart for the girls to shop... Somehow on the way there we ended up running into Ian...

It's funny, Kenyon and Ian are good friends and they alternatly "like" and don't "like" each other... His Dad, his wife and I have been friends over the years and have always got along well... whats really funny about the whole thing is when they were about 10 we all had dinner together at Hoops one night... and we 3 parents joked that one day they might like each other and here we are now.... They even went to their first formal dance together :)

I'm not making anymore "jokes" with his Dad anymore... and when Ian was over the other night making sweet faces at Kenyon I reminded him several times about College and that we won't be having anything hold either one of them back from it.... (Kenyon hates it when I say things like that!) No time for love... only studies!

Back to my other story... Kenyon and Katie and their clown make up....
So cute! Pajamas all weekend was one of the things on their list and they kept that up mostly...They directed traffic to a garage sale but we have no pictures and I'm sorry... They also baked a cake, and did a few other things on the list. Some things they didn't do, like go teepeeing, they couldn't figure out anyone who's house they could teepee that wouldn't get mad... so that was off the list.

A few hours after they had the make up on it wasn't fun anymore.... you have never seen such a sad face as the ones I saw... They would not have tolerated me photograph their misery so use your imagination and add make up to this freshly scrubbed scowly face...
Pretty pathetic isn't it?

Within a few minutes they were ok again... they said they probably wont be doing that again anytime soon, but thats ok.

Later that night we rented alot of movies and snuggled on the couches and watched them. Katie isn't allowed to pick movies anymore... I think her half British upbringing damaged her sense of humor permanently. Thad is also probably not at the top of the list or else he is just going to have to watch his choices on his own....I have to admit I don't know that I did that good either as far as funny... But I was responsible for the 2 movies that everyone likes.... I picked The Astronaut Farmer and The Pursuit of Happyness, they were both unlike Katies choice Family friendly with no violence and noones head fell off thank you very much. Also everyone stayed awake during both of mine unlike Thad's choice!

I know I don't have any snuggle bunny shots of what the boys and I were doing, but thats because we were snuggled on the couch watching movies... Kenyon was too busy with her friends to take any pictures of us and for that she wins the bad dog award for the weekend. Rest assured we were piled up doing foot rubs, scrathing backs and the like. What a good weekend.
