Please spay and neuter

The kitties.... Our town flooded about 6 weeks ago and the SPCA had to evacuate. I'll never forget that horrible feeling watching the flood waters come knowing how many peoples lives were going to be disrupted... Kenyon and I helped some folks and during that time I called the SPCA several times to see if they needed help evacuating... I called the PD and they said they had no info on their situation, but I told them my name and number and said ANYTHING that needed done for them, or anyone else that called as I had a truck. 2 days later I got a call from the SPCA and the woman said in a distraught voice "You said anything, come get some cats"... I grabbed a few boxes and headed to the temporary shelter at the fairgrounds. It was really sad. The staff was doing the very best they could but they simply did not have what they needed. It was so hot the already stressed animels were sick and the director told me they were in danger of dying. I took home one entire row of kittens, not even knowing how many they added up to. It turned out to be 8 kitties with eye infections, diaareah, and respiratory viruses. One cat that sick would have been enough for any momma with a house to run, but 8 was a pretty daunting task. I wiped eyes, rubbed bellies, cleaned poop, gave meds, fed special diets, and gave milk(KMR) to the ones that were too young to be away from their mommas. Donnie and the kids loved on them and did their best to help. They slowly went from skinny, half-dead kitties to wild children on the loose. I had to return them a few days ago as the shelter had some space and I just couldn't keep them any longer... we made it thru painting several rooms in the house with them running amok and I hope they don't mind that they all had paint on them. I do know when they went back to be adopted out they had gained weight and become healthy well socialized kitties... I want you to know that when Kenyon and I took them back I cried like a baby. Strangly enough when we returned home we noticed we had somehow missed 2 kitties in the round up. It was really too bad because as I told Donnie we can't be wasting gas driving all around town over a couple cats. The 2 that remained were Scraggles as in "Your not keeping that scraggly-assed cat" (anything you say dear) and Miss Meowgi who is just now about 8 weeks old and we ave had her over a month. She looks alot like a small walking cotton ball and is very timid and loves to bite your nose when your asleep. Mila mouse, River and Casey are all ok with it and Mila seems to be doing a good job teaching them how to fish.
